ROOTED IN BIKEPACKING HISTORY, INVESTED IN BIKEPACKING’S FUTURE
Based in Anchorage, Alaska, Revelate Designs builds gear shaped by the demands of wild terrain, extreme weather, and long rides.
Our journey began in 2007 in a basement workshop. Armed with an industrial sewing machine and a passion for two-wheeled adventure, founder Eric Parsons started crafting frame bags for fat-tire snow bike races like the Iditarod Trail Invitational.
His purpose-built designs quickly gained traction. Within months, Eric left his engineering job to focus full time on making gear for fellow adventure cyclists.
We’re still fueled by that same energy—riding further, building smarter, and creating gear that goes the distance.
What We Believe
Revelate Designs fuels the spirit of adventure in every cyclist by redefining what’s possible on two wheels. With innovative, reliable bikepacking gear, we empower riders to explore further, push past limits, and ride with confidence that their gear will never hold them back.
What we do
We design gear that helps cyclists level up their ambition and GO BIG—removing barriers to bigger rides, deeper adventures, and wilder places. Our goal is to make waking up in the wilderness powered by a bike more accessible than ever.
Why it Matters
We believe the ride is more than motion—it’s freedom. Our gear supports those moments when riders break from the everyday and move with intention, flowing through landscapes, unbound, present, and fully alive in the adventure.
Pioneers of the Industry
As pioneers of bikepacking gear, we’ve been leading the way longer than anyone in the market. We invented product categories that define the industry, combining unmatched expertise and a rich legacy. When it comes to bikepacking, no one knows it better.
Alaska-Born and Adventure-Proven
Our brand was born in the rugged terrain of Alaska, where adventure knows no bounds. Every piece of gear we create is designed and proven to drive your human-powered journeys with confidence.
Committed to Cutting-Edge Innovation
We innovate with purpose. Our adventurer-engineers test and perfect every product to ensure it performs flawlessly from day one. Thoughtfully designed and durably engineered, our gear delivers unmatched rugged function.
By Riders, For Riders
Our staff and design team are constantly seeking new adventures, returning with fresh ideas, stories, and insights that inspire and enhance our products. Whether it’s tackling rugged singletrack, cruising endless pavement, or exploring untouched wilderness, the journeys we take on two wheels shape the gear we create.
At Revelate, every product endures countless hard miles and numerous iterations before it’s deemed ready for the world. Driven by a shared passion for riding, our team and ambassadors work tirelessly to perfect our craft.
Eric is Revelate’s founder and loves alpine frolicking on a bike, skis or his own two feet. Traversing landscapes and learning new things, whether they be active or creative fills his cup. Eric does a bit of everything from product design, spreadsheet-ing and photo / video work. He loves living in Alaska and sharing it with his family while trying to keep up with his teenage son in the mountains.
A bit of an adrenaline junky, Eddie loves going fast. He grew up and learned the cycling industry in the Midwest, then Colorado, before making Alaska home. He was drawn to Alaska for the mountains and skiing, and then couldn’t leave after experiencing a summer playing in the Chugach. His favorite trails are chunky and technical, but he doesn’t mind a long pedal to a glacier, either. The Operations Manager at Revelate, he comes to work with his Shiba Inu/Shepherd mix, Mozzie.
To be honest, we are not sure when he started or where he came from. He seems to have always been here. On that note, we are not sure if anyone knows if he’s actually on the payroll! Despite the formalities of legal employment, he can be found wandering around in a state of confusion, hoarding scissors and rulers, and on rare occasions, sewing something. Elusiveness, however, does not mean quiet. This guy won’t shut up. Always chat, chat, chatting away. (We started providing company-issue headphones to counteract this phenomenon!) Regardless of what he does or where he came from, he is an integral part of the inner workings of Revelate Designs… We think? He also has a very vocal and sassy dog named Lil Snugs, who shares similar characteristics to her owner.
Through a plethora of mini career stints, the path that led Teal to Revelate has been a winding one. As our all things customer service liaison, she will gladly chat with you about your bike bag fit, best practices for training a reindeer, commercial salmon picking techniques (she is actively taking advice on this one), and how to tell the difference between an HBC and a red currant. When not at Revelate headquarters, you can find Teal somewhere in the mountains with her better half, Stella Blue.
Aurora handles all things content, design, and community stoke at Revelate. Alaskan-born and passionate about all kinds of riding, she believes trails should be shared and every bag should have a story. She’s here to inspire more people to ride further — and say hi to everyone along the way. Favorite bike memory? Hopping on a train with a friend to pedal up a mountain, have lunch at an alpine lake, and still making it home before dark.
Wipeout specialist, bike doctor, and recovering design student, Caleb is the newest member of the Revelate R+D team. Caleb strives to push the boundaries and answer the hard questions. For example, how much banjo can he put on the speakers before he becomes the most recently fired member of the Revelate R+D team?
Stella Blue (aka Stelly Belly) is the resident Revelate Golden Girl. Retired from racing with Swamp Dawg Kennels in Talkeetna, Stella spends her days either imitating a couch cushion or zipping through the mountains at full speed. When not working, you can find Stella showing her humans how to live their best lives, whether that be zooming in front of skis, running mountain ridges with friends, or wandering in circles on local single track.
As Revelate’s token feline and remote office worker, Dexter doesn’t clock in at the office—but he fully embraces the outdoor lifestyle. A bonafide adventure cat, he’s peak-bagged three mountains, tolerates kayaking, and loves to chatter at squirrels at Bird Point. He’s currently lobbying for a Revelate cat backpack to join the product line.
Sadie was adopted into the Reveleate Shop at the age of 4 months. She enjoys chasing bikes and demanding that marauding postal service workers who attempt to pick up packages for delivery give her dog treats.
Lil Snugs, “Snugs” Is a true princess, attitude and all!
She’s an independent lady who does what she wants. To have won her affection is a quest fought over many years. But once you’re in her posse, she’s a real softy. Her favorite hobbies include barking, wallowing in stagnant water, and destroying any object that her humans find of value. She can be found most days at the shop attached at the hip to her human Dusty, who is constantly giving her treats, or bribes, depending on how you look at it. She is truly living the Snug Life, and we love her for that.
A Shiba Inu/Shepherd mix, Mozzie’s energy is unmatched, as is his enthusiasm for play and need for attention. Mozzie loves bike rides, muddy puddles, and playing keep away with the other dogs in the shop, and when he isn’t on high alert, he’s doing a quick recharge so he can get right back to it!
An Alaskan Husky, Ludo is a loving and adventurous dog, named after the swamp monster from Labyrinth. As much as he loves snow, staying true to his namesake, Ludo is particularly fond of dirt and mud. Ludo’s heart is as big as his appetite for adventure and treats. Whether he’s digging, finding the perfect fishy spot to roll in, or simply keeping an eye out for visitors, Ludo loves his pack and keeping everyone in it safe.
Manufacturing & Craftsmanship
At Revelate Designs, we are committed to producing the highest-quality bikepacking gear possible.
Alaska Workshop Our workshop in Anchorage, Alaska serves as a dedicated design studio where we develop, test, and refine all of our future products. Here, we laser cut, sew, heat seal, and 3D print fully functional prototypes that we field test ourselves and send out for additional testing with our brand ambassadors. We spend significant time trialing and sourcing materials from a network of domestic and international suppliers and material converters. Once we’re satisfied with a new design, we move into production with our trusted manufacturing partners. Production The majority of our sewn products—roughly half our entire line—are made in the USA by our cut-and-sew partner in Seattle, Washington. Our welded fabric products are built in Asia by a longtime partner and state-of-the-art facility specializing in high-frequency fabric welding. This partnership allows us to create waterproof bags with complex 3D shapes. Additional cut-and-sew products, generally our small cockpit bags, are made in Vietnam to help keep prices reasonable and ensure consistent availability.
At our core, we’re a product-focused company that partners with expert manufacturers to bring our gear to life!
