To address the needs of long-distance ultra racing, the Pitchfork Aerobar System provides load carrying and storage for essentials that you want quickly at hand.
The Pitchfork is a 2-part holster system featuring gigantic stretch woven side pockets with a removable 6 Ultra 200 denier drybag. The pockets easily swallow light clothing layers and can securely stow calories from a gas station resupply. To optimize the size of the pockets the holster wraps over the bars rather than strapping underneath. This allows for both bigger pockets and provides fast access to a flat platform top mounted bungee system. Everything is designed for quick access and all cords are field replaceable for the long haul.
To accommodate different bar spacing, pairs of laser cut hypalon slots are built into the holster to change the strap mounting width.
The seam taped Ultra 200 UHMWPE drybag has an asymmetrical tapered bottom for stem clearance and is sized to fit a light sleeping/shelter system or warm clothing and rain gear. A removable front strap can be used to tension the front of the drybag if using it fully packed on rough terrain. The drybag is secured to the holster with spring loaded, non-dangling auto cam buckles.
