We’re excited to announce the newest member of our ambassador team, Ana Jager! Ana is a fellow Alaskan and a neighbor to us here in Anchorage. She’s been getting after it on both bikes and skis for quite some time, but she burst on to the long-distance racing scene when she tackled the Triple Crown in 2022 winning both the Arizona Trail Race and the Tour Divide!
Since then Ana has enjoyed plenty of other trips and races by bike. She rode the 1,000 mile Alaskan Iditarod trail solo and while she wasn’t racing she rode it at a very speedy race pace finishing in 19 days despite some rough and slow conditions. Ana took on the Tour Divide again this year placing second in the women’s category but shaved more than two days off her 2022 victory!
In addition to riding her bike long distances, Ana has been a huge part of the Anchorage GRIT program. GRIT (Girls Riding Into Tomorrow), a program of Bike Anchorage, is an after school bike mentorship program offered to girls, trans, and non-binary students at Begich Middle School. Participation in GRIT is entirely free and provides each student with all that they need to be successful in learning to explore and interact with their community on bikes! Ana has been volunteering as a leader for the program for the past handful of years!
Welcome to the team Ana, and keep up all the great work!
